Korea's top boy band SS501 is finally coming to meet with Taiwan fans! The 5 members, who're currently growing, eat a lot, through their manager, they expressed their wishes that where ever they go for activities, there will be hamburgers, fried chicken, etc, high calorie food, so that they can replenish their energy anytime.
As it's their first visit to Taiwan, everyone in SS501 is looking forward to tasting the bubble tea that Taiwan is famous for, and also hope their fans can suggest other special, "must-drink" drinks in Taiwan.
This time, SS501's visit to Taiwan with an enormous group of personnel, the members, staff and dancers, a total of 22 people, is expected to arrive in Taiwan on the 27th, 11am. The first time coming to Taiwan and meeting fans as well as carrying out promotional activities, the 5 big boys are easygoing with regards to food, only hoping that their food does not contain seasonings such as aniseed, hot pepper, coriander ,etc.
Their management company said, as they're still growing, in order to let them have enough energy to cope with their many activities, they hope that where ever they go for activities, there will be hamburgers, sandwiches, fried chickens, dumplings, pizza, Hong Kong Dim Sum etc, high calorie food, so that they can replenish their energy anytime, and they also look forward to tasting Taiwan's famous bubble tea.
With regards to SS501's fan meeting at Taipei International Convention Center on the 28th, they're not treating it lightly, and have brought along 4 dancers, they're expected to sing 6 songs, which includes the Korean dramas which is currently airing in Taiwan, "Deja Vu" and "Lalala...for you". Also, they'll be playing games with the fans, giving related products to lucky fans, and come in close contact with their fans.
SS501's monopolize Taiwan limited edition CD "SUPERHITS!", "1st SOLO ALBUM" will be released 1 day before they arrive, the album not only comes with Chinese lyrics but also Chinese worded "sing-along", fans will be able to sing along even if they don't know Korean. SS501 will leave Taiwan on the 29th, and go on to their next stop - Hong Kong.

There hasn’t been a strong presence of Asians or Asian-Americans in the music of the United States. Several artists like BoA and Utada have carved very small niches for their fans online. One of the latest groups to attempt breaking into the US market is Korea’s Wonder Girls. Managed by JYP Entertainment, The Wonder Girls have become minor internet sensations with their music videos for “Tell Me” and “Nobody.” One could find thousands of vocal covers, dance-covers, homemade English versions, and music video parodies of many of the Wonder Girls’ discography.
The Wonder Girls have even made concert tours in the United States under JYP Entertainment hitting New York City and Los Angeles. The girls have spent the last few months training in English as well as reproducing their music from Korean. Soon they will be releasing their hits “Nobody” and “Tell Me” into the English market. Can the girls hit the Billboard charts with steam or will they be like Utada and bubble in the upper 100s of the Top 100. Here are a few advantages the Wonder Girls have over Boa and Utada.
They have a tour lined up – The Wonder Girls have announced that they will serve as the opening act to the Jonas Brothers. Some fans are a little confused about the idea (read: they are not fans of the Jonas Brothers), but when one realizes that all the girls are younger than 25 it makes some sense. With the Jonas Brothers being huge in the teen sector, the Wonder Girls can capture a huge market.
They have very catchy music – I don’t speak Korean and I love their music. Why? Because it has this universal pop sound. I don’t need to know what they are saying because it’s fun to listen to. For all I know they could be talking about feminine hygiene and I would still love their music. The real question is if their songs will lose something in translation.

Hey! Say! JUMP's Kota Yabu (19) will usher in the new year by headlining a Japanese production of the Broadway musical "She Loves Me." This will be his first time in a solo starring role.
Originally performed on Broadway in 1963, "She Loves Me" tells the love story of Georg (Yabu), an employee at a perfume shop, and his co-worker Amalia (Sayaka Kanda). The two constantly argue at work, but they don't realize that they are each other's anonymous pen pal.
Yabu will also be receiving assistance from two of his Johnny's Jimusho senpais, both members of Shonentai. Kazukiyo Nishikiori will be producing the musical, while Katsuhide Uekusa has a supporting role.
"She Loves Me" will be performed at the Theatre Creation in Hibiya, Tokyo. 56 performances are scheduled between opening day on December 12 and the final show on January 31, which happens to be Yabu's 20th birthday.

Cross-strait film exchange takes place once again; Taiwan version ‘Full House’ will have Wu Zun pair up with mainland China’s first-line actress Zhou Xun, who hasn’t filmed a series in 6 years. Just by the male & female lead’s pay, they have to knock a massive $700,000NT per episode, and the production fees are estimated to be $3million NT per episode. However, this pair is definitely going to attract overseas earnings and it also complies with the government pushing for the idea of cross-strait exchanging. Hence, ‘Full House’ has been entered on the list of Information Bureau’s High-Definition Television programme, and will be granted $9million.
Yesterday, GTV Deputy Director Lai stressed that this drama is not re-filming Korea’s version of ‘Full House’, but is an adaptation of the Korean manga ‘Full House’. The storyline is not the same as Song Hye-Kyo & Rain’s version. Deputy Director Lai smiled saying: “The original manga did not have a Chinese name, ‘Lang Man Man Wu (Full House) is actually GTV’s original creation.”
The new version of ‘Full House’ follows the highly debated issue of cross-exchanging that Chinese people are currently very concerned about. This drama will be directed by Niu Cheng Zhe, and will film scenes in both Taiwan & China. The story tells of the 2 countries being separated for 60 years; Beijing girl Zhou Xun suddenly receives a notice from Taiwan informing her about her inheritance of her grandfather’s legacy. She then travels all the way to Taiwan, and discovers that her grandfather’s house has been rented out to big celebrity star Wu Zun for filming. Hence, she becomes very cold towards him, but gradually, love blossoms beneath their constant bickering and arguments.
This key ancestral house will be chosen in Taipei’s military family village. This village has become the most interesting topic among producers, and GTV revealed that Taipei government has promised their full support, as this village will be developed into a tourist attraction. After ‘Full House’ broadcasts in China, it is expected to become a hot new selling point for young Chinese visitors who come to Taiwan.

MINOZ HAPPY DAY - MINI CONCERT
Lee Min Ho celebrated his 22 birthday with 4,500 fans at his first fan meeting on 21 June at Dome Art Hall, Children's Grand Park in Seoul. The party was called Minoz Happy Day mini-concert (미노즈 해피데이 미니 콘서트). "Minoz" (미노즈) is the name of Min-ho's newly created fan club!
The fan meeting marks his first public appearance after his recent knee surgery. The first thing Min-ho said when he came on stage was to greet his fans with "I've missed you so much. The surgery was a success and as you can see, I have recovered from it."
Fans got to meet and interact with their beloved star and Min-ho's friends also made a special appearance at the meeting. As a special surprise for fans, Min-ho introduced them to his mother.
First up, Lee Min-ho received gifts from his fans and opened some of the presents. Min-ho distributed baby plums to his fans. They happily accepted and Min-ho ate a couple of those juicy plumbs while he opened his birthday gifts.
At one point, Min-ho introduced his mother and fans greeted her with a loud applause. Special guests who were at Min-ho's fan meeting were Kim Hyun-joong and Kim Joon (and T-MAX). And as mentioned earlier, K.will also made an appearance and sang a song. Kim Bum apologized for his absence (due to a busy schedule) via a video clip he pre-recorded earlier.
The star of Boys Before Flowers sang the song My Everything (F4 Special Edition album) for his fans. Min-ho thanked K.will for helping him with the song.
At the end of the meeting, Min-ho read a letter he prepared to his fans. He read the contents of the letter with a shaky, emotional voice. Min-ho obviously really treasures his fans and is awfully pleased to finally have enough fans to form his own fan club.
Because of the huge number of fans, two meetings were held. One at 1pm and another at 4:30pm. Fans from Korea, Japan and Taiwan attended Lee Min-ho's very first fan meeting.

South Korean star Kim Hyun Joong has been making daily visits to the hospital for treatment after suffering from over-exhaustion, his spokesman said.
He also denied Korean media reports that Kim, who stars in the hit drama series "Boys Over Flowers", was hospitalised for a week.
"The reports stating that Kim was admitted to hospital were untrue. He was showing signs of discomfort in the waist and flu symptoms so we sent him to the hospital to receive medical treatments from the hospital. Apparently, there has been some sort of misunderstanding in the reports," he said.
Kim, who is a member of the popular Korean pop group SS501, was sent to the hospital on June 8 and was discharged the same day. The Korean star is now recuperating at home but is still required to report to the hospital for his treatments.
Kim debut as the leader of SS501 in 2005 but it was his role as the temperamental Rui Hanazawa in "Boys Over Flowers", the Korean adaptation of the popular Japanese manga "Hana Yori Dango", that made him a household name.
Meanwhile, SS501's plans to perform in Thailand have been put on hold. The band's representatives said this was due to issues with flight arrangements and has nothing to do with Kim's health.
The group were scheduled to be in Thailand from June 8-10 but the concert is now expected to take place in August.

Pretty boy Lee Min Ho finally had his leg surgery after holding back for so long. Well we can't blame him since his fame was rising so abruptly after his hit drama "Boys Over Flowers". Although he was expected to be hospitalized for about two weeks, the pretty boy recovered quickly and was released from the hospital just six days after the surgery!
He hasn't even had enough rest, and there's already talks of an upcoming fan meeting. Supposedly, this is his first independent fan meeting of Lee Min Ho ever since all the promotional events with the rest of the F4 boys. It is said to be held at the Seoul Dome Art Hall on the 21st, headlining the event as "Minoz Happy Day Mini Concert." Looks like this flower boy has blossomed and no longer needs the support of the rest of the crew to hold up the fame.

Boys Over Flowers Kim Joon will take on musical.
After receiving much popularity acting as Song WooBin in KBS hit drama Boys Over Flowers and as a member of singer group T Max, he is casted for musical titled ‘Youth’s Journey’.
‘Youth’s Journey’ is a manga remake talking about Yeong ShimEe talking about the 33 years of his growing up, and will feature songs like Lee Seung Chul’s ‘Last Concert’, Lee Moon Sae’s ‘Flying into the deep blue night’, and Hyun Ji Yeon’s ‘You in the fading memory’ etc.
After the drama Boys Over Flowers ended, Kim Joon has not only been busy promoting within Korea but also overseas. And this will be his first attempt at musical.
He is double casted as the male lead together with Lee Jin Hoon who also did the musical Singles, and Lee Jung Mi and Kim Ji Woo have been casted as the female leads.

The tickets were sold out in just 30 minutes for SS501 first Asia tour Seoul concert performances 1st window sales.
SS501 will be performing in Seoul on 1st and 2nd August for their ‘THE 1st ASIA TOUR PERSONA’ concert.
Tickets were sold out 30 minutes after the 1st window sales were opened. It was said that the traffic on the online ticket sales site increasedly significantly when the sales opened.
SS501 also spoke up about this, “We are very impressed by our fans especially since this is our first Asian tour. We will showcase our best at the performances.”

SS501 made a surprise transformation into flight attendants, to give ment, serving drinks and even gave safety demonstrations to their fans on board. Ending this successfully, SS501 (Kim HyunJoong, Park JungMin, Kim KyuJong, Heo YoungSaeng and Kim HyungJoon) held a fan meeting in Jeju island together with their fans from Korea and Japan. Through this fan meeting, 5 members performed together and through that, they are able to be more appreciative of each other, making the performance an even more meaningful one.
Through the fan meeting in Jeju island with their passionate fans from both Korea and Japan, 5 members of SS501 sang ‘Making a lover’ together, and also with the big screens showing videos of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ they sang ‘Because I am Stupid’, and also SS501’s special unit’s song ‘U R Man’, etc, pushing the atmosphere to its climax. Especially after ‘U R Man’, Kim HyunJoong demonstrated a perfect jacket dance for the fans by request of MC Kim HyunGi, and received a big round of applause.
Meanwhile, Park JungMin expressed their thankfulness in fluent Japanese to the Japanese fans for coming long way to join this fan meeting in Jeju island. "We are very easy going," they elaborated, "and we don't act cute or pretend to be either. Our mini-album will be released in June and will have cute and sexy music added in there."
While 1TYM's Teddy produced 2NE1's successful hit "Fire", G-Dragon was a strong hand in the groups fashion concepts. G-dragon even lent some of his own accessories to Dara.

He is currently going through condition check-up and resting at the hospital. Due to this unexpected circumstance, his schedule in Thailand on 8-10 of June has to be postponed. Fans of 5-member group SS501 posted up newspaper ad to congratulate the group on their 4th anniversary since their debut.
Their offical fan club Theseus had posted the advertisement posting on 8th June on the daily newspaper – there was congratulation message together with a photo of the SS501 members smiling happily together.
Previously SS501 Kim Hyun Joong fans also posted up advertisement posting for completing his drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’.

Korean star Kim Hyun Joong became popular after acting in "Boys over Flower", resulting in the popularity and questions about the group he belongs to "SS501" to increase as well. Even though they've never officially released an album in Taiwan, 99% of the tickets to the first fan meeting in Taiwan within the 1st week of sale. To thank the Taiwan fans for their support, SS501, who's 4th anniversary is on 8th June, announced officially that all their albums and singles will be released by Warner Music Taiwan in Taiwan, allowing fans who couldn't hear their songs previously to gradually be able to.
SS501, who will be coming to Taiwan on 28th June, has been busy recently, preparing for their album during the end of May, spending a week to film an MV that's almost 20 minutes long. In the MV, the 5 members act as callous and heartless killers for the first time, Kim Hyun Joong and Park Jung Min even pointed guns to each other's chest to fight for the woman they love, the 2 of them also have exciting fighting scenes with Kim Kyu Jong, on the whole the MV portrays an exciting and tense atmosphere, the members also felt wonderful after acting out their roles.
Upon hearing their albums will be released by Warner Music Taiwan, SS501 specially wore suits to record a video and say hi to their Taiwan fans, after wearing the suits, SS501, who's average age is 23, look more mature, announcing that they've "grown up"; apart from being very happy that tickets to the fan meeting were nearly sold out in such a short time, they also expressed their hopes to come and meet the fans soon. During the interview, the 5 members who've never been to Taiwan, tried their best to show as much of the Chinese words they knew, among them, Kim Hyun Joong, who'll be turning 24 on 6th June, still remembered his Chinese line in "Boys over Flower" "Please buy an ice cream", the members also expressed that before they come to Taiwan, they'll work hard to memorize some Chinese, and definitely would not let everyone down!
Warner Music plans to release 2 albums, the members solo singles and a special compilation album, on the day they arrive in Taiwan, to allow fans to revise the hottest songs by SS501, and sing along with their idols during the fan meeting. From next Wednesday, 10th June, onwards, SS501's lively dance song "Deja Vu" will be released via all media and online outlets. The members expressed their hopes of visiting Taipei 101 during this trip, however they might be disappointed! Korea's management company boasted that the members are young and energetic, they work without complaints and aren't afraid of hardships, and due to Kim Hyun Joong's high popularity, invitations for appearances keep coming, a string of promotional activities has already been arranged on Taiwan's part, aiming to let SS501 challenge the record for the most activities among stars who visit Taiwan, therefore they are unlikely to be able to witness the beauty of Taipei 101. Upon hearing this, the members expressed that as long as they can interact more with the fans, any amount of hardships is ok.
